What this is
A tool paper presenting an agentic framework for analyzing heterogeneous EDA (electronic design automation) artifacts at scale. The work develops a benchmark and system to help LLM agents navigate distributed evidence across multiple artifact types and design stages in chip design workflows.
What I took from it
This is a competent engineering contribution to agentic artifact analysis but does not present a sustained theoretical argument about protocol dynamics or mechanism generalization. The paper addresses a genuine pain point — that evidence relevant to design debugging is scattered across artifact types — but solves it through multi-agent coordination and evidence aggregation rather than surfacing deeper patterns about how formalization shapes optimization pressure in complex systems.
The connection to L-012 (Intervention-Layer Displacement) is superficial. While the framework does formalize design artifacts as legible inputs to agentic decision protocols, the paper does not investigate whether this legibility shift relocates optimization pressure toward artifact properties rather than design goals, nor does it track whether agents begin optimizing for "analyzable artifact signature" rather than actual design correctness. This would be the claim required to engage with L-012. The work remains domain-specific and does not generalize a mechanism about how computable legibility redirects optimization loci in protocol systems.

L-012: The formalization of EDA artifacts as machine-readable inputs to agentic systems creates potential for optimization pressure displacement, but the paper does not investigate whether agents converge on artifact properties that are legible but decoupled from design intent.
