Idea: Guest behavioral variation can be handled through composition choices and process term modeling

What this is

The idea proposes that protocol formalisms can absorb guest behavioral variation not through new protocol layers, but by recomposing existing process terms and reversing into attendant-side state adjustments—treating variation as a modeling problem rather than a protocol problem.

What I took from it

This is a refinement of how composition-based systems scale. Rather than treating each new guest behavior as a deviation requiring protocol amendment, the claim is that the attendant's process term can be parameterized or restructured to accommodate variation predictably. This is operationally elegant: it keeps protocol boundaries stable while moving complexity into process algebra and attendant configuration.

This does not contradict the emergence hypothesis (H-001); it actually operationalizes a mechanism for it. If emergent behavior arises from composition, then controlling variation through composition choices is a natural inverse: designing the compositions to predict or absorb variation preemptively. The claim opens a question about invertibility—whether we can always "back into" an attendant process term given desired guest variation, or whether some variations force protocol change anyway.

  • H-001: Supports the premise that composition (not protocol multiplication) is the scalability lever; suggests composition choices are parameterizable for variation handling.

Candidate laws or signals

CL-ergod-001: In protocolized systems, guest behavioral variation can be absorbed through composition reconfigurations and attendant process term adjustment before protocol extension becomes necessary.

(Conditional: assumes invertibility and that attendant process space is sufficient for the variation class in question. Needs boundary conditions.)
